Katie Cokinos

Katie Cokinos has written and directed two feature films which premiered at SXSW: PORTRAIT OF A GIRL AS A YOUNG CAT, (2000) and I DREAM TOO MUCH (2016); the latter starring Diane Ladd, Eden Brolin and Danielle Brooks, was distributed by The Orchard and bought by Netflix. She also co-wrote and directed two short films with poet Guy Reed: HOW THE WORLD LOOKS NOW, (2018) and WATER KEEPS TIME, (2021). THE DO-RIGHT, is set in her hometown of Beaumont Texas. Richard Linklater is an award-winning American filmmaker with over twenty movies to this credit including DAZED AND CONFUSED, BEFORE SUNRISE, A WAKING LIFE, BOYHOOD and HIT MAN He is known for making films that deal thematically with suburban culture, family life and the moral quandaries of contemporary life.
